Serax (Oxazepam) Review

Is Serax (Oxazepam) Right For You?

Serax or Oxazepam is manufactured by Wyeth. They are now part of the huge pharmaceutical worldwide company known as Pfizer. The company has a wonderful reputation. This product should only be used for animals and only as directed by the veterinarian. It may be recommended to treat depression in either dogs or cats. It is also used at times to stimulate appetite in animals that aren’t eating enough.

This medication can work by reducing the levels of serotonin and acetylcholine that the brain produces. It can take time for the right dose of it to be prescribed for a pet. The veterinarian will likely start them out with a very small dose and see how they do with it. Over time, it may be necessary to increase that dose. The goal is to get the dose to where they have the most benefit with the least amount of side effects.
