Ritalin is a form of prescription medication used in the treatment of ADD (Attention Deficit Disorder) and ADHD (Attention Deficit Hyperactive Disorder). Ritalin one of the brand names of Methylphenidate and one of the most commonly used treatments for the above health conditions.

This drug is offered by Novartis, an international pharmaceutical company located in Basel, Switzerland. Novartis was founded in 1996 through the merger of Sandoz and Ciba-Geigy, two companies with a long corporate history.

Ritalin includes the following ingredients: D&C Yellow No. 10 (5-mg and 20-mg tablets), FD&C Green No. 3 (10-mg tablets), lactose, magnesium stearate, polyethylene glycol, starch (5-mg and 10-mg tablets), sucrose, talc, and tragacanth (20-mg tablets).
