L-Tyrosine Review

Is L-Tyrosine Right For You?

L-Tyrosine is not an essential amino acid because it can be found in the amino acid phenylalanine. This product helps increase alertness and focus along with mood. While the body naturally makes L-Tyrosine, some studies indicate many people don’t get enough of it. As a result, they may end up with fatigue, depression, ADD, or other problems. There are many people out there turning to supplements of this amino acid for preventative care, to help with ailments, and to offset the fact that they don’t eat a healthy diet.

Due to the high demand for such products, there are many different manufacturers out on the market. While this affects price and shipping directly, there are other things you may have to consider. One of these is the fact that only a handful of websites that sell L-Tyrosine are eager to offer free samples for a trial period. Typically, one can quickly tell which site is more or less trustworthy than the other, but there still is a certain risk of fraud, so would-be customers should avoid giving out their personal information.

It is wise for a consumer to take the time to evaluate refund policies, the price, the quality of the ingredients, and the reputation of the company. These areas will help those that do sell a better supplement to stand apart from the rest.

Ingredients of L-Tyrosine

My holistic psychiatrist prescribed L-Tyrosine (Metabolic Maintenance for pill form, NeuroScience for the liposomal spray form which doesn’t need to be taken on an empty stomach) for my ADD. It has definitely helped my focus and I am now off of the amphetamine I was previously taking for my ADD. I have to say it is wonderful when compared to taking the powerful pharmaceutical drugs and doesn’t have all the side effects or make me feel “drugged up”. But I am going to take this advice for amino acid proteins to heart and will try to reduce my sugar intake and increase proteins, as I’ve always tended to consume too much sugar and not enough protein.
